I have resigned myself to the fact that it just isn't possible.
Brad is still working all over the state, just not anywhere near his family. Nicole is still gone. Thus, the little ones are having a REALLY tough time. Lots of tears, tantrums, and craziness. I anticipated this, just not as much as it is in actuality happening. We are blessed in the fact that I recognize that if my family were not as unified, they wouldn't have so much trouble. So we are counting it as a blessing.
We were blessed to get a HUGE box of apples and bags of tomatoes, so we have been making homemade tomato soups and applecakes and we are trying baked apples tonight and finishing off everything else into apple butter. hmmmm. It's AMAZING how much less you can eat with homemade stuff and how STUFFED you get.
Princess earned her Academic Letter and her Chevron and was super excited. We are all really proud of her.
Marching Band is in full swing and Sirtalksalot and SoccerAngel are enjoying every second! They are really good. Next year Plan B will be in Jr. High. Wow! All of them are excelling in school. We are really proud of them.
Frosty wants to be in school really bad. We had a particularly nasty virus run through part of the household. We are overcoming that though. Still trying to get our house on the market, but with Brad gone, can't really do it. Hoping we will be able to still move this year, but resigning myself to the fact that I may still be here for QUITE a while. Still working on my cookbook, but slow downed considerably after my daughter broke my external harddrive. WISH I had made back up DVD's too. Ugh! Maybe geek squad can still pull them off though.
Life is good, much to be thankful for and really missing my van. Maybe it will be fixed next week.
