No Pictures, trust me you wouldn't want them.

Just to clue everyone in and to slow the questions to my husband, "Is your wife mad at me? Is she avoiding me?" No, is the answer to all. I didn't really want to tell anyone but I could use some prayers.
For about a month I have been really sick with a gastrointestinal something or other. They have run test after test and still not positive. We are waiting for three more labs to narrow it down. They will take up to two weeks to get back. I am exhausted. I usually can run and do everything but I am finding it hard to do anything right now. I could sleep 16-18 hours if allowed to. I force myself to get up though. My abdomen is swollen and not from baby. I feel like my insides have been turned inside out several times. I get headaches and fevers accompanied with sweating and then I freeze to death and wrap up in three comforters. Hello! I am pregnant and it is August. I should be shoving everyone out of the way of the air conditioning. I called the Dr. several times, but one nurse didn't relay the messages because I guess she thinks I am stupid and it isn't important. My Dr. wasn't very happy when I actually spoke to her. She wanted me to have called 2 weeks before. When I told her I had been calling, she was not happy. Anyway, the crux of it is this, there is nothing I can do about it. I can take any of the medications for it because the antibiotics are so strong, they can't be safely administered for 16 weeks. Anytime before that and it takes out our baby. After that, it gives a one in 5 chance of stillbirth. That was really scary to me. So, I asked for a blessing last night, and it told me that my faith and the faith of my family and friends combined would be enough to get me through this. That my baby is fine and will continue to grow. We don't know if I contracted this from not fully cooked eggs, the farmer's market, or if the well has been compromised from all the flooding this year. So, we are drinking bottled water until all tests come back. Everyone else feels a little queasy stomach and tired betimes, but otherwise seem fine. The Dr. says that is what would be happening to me if not pregnant, but since I am, it really is hitting hard. The hope is that we can shock the well and all will be fine or change the carbon filter, but we can't really do anything until we know exactly what we are dealing with. So much for not puking this time around huh? I think I would rather be the puking queen. That was easier to deal with. I knew there was something wrong, I just couldn't get past the nurse. Oh well, I will try not to bore you all with the details but enough to help me get the prayers that I need. So there it is, Puppie broke my phone and my replacement phone isn't working either so, don't get mad if you can't get a hold of me that way either. It should work again soon. Wish me luck! I'm going back to bed.

Mommy gets a Makeover....

Ok, I said I want three inches off the bottom and long layers and showed a front and a back veiw picture of the haircut I wanted so I could still do long ringlets when I so chose. What I got was a haircut I had several years ago and is a little more than shoulder length. Not much. Hmmmm.
Oh well. That's what I get for not having Shenita cut my hair when I saw her. I don't dislike it, just not what I asked for this time.

As Sisters In Zion....

Sometimes you have sisters, and you swear there are others out there that God placed out there for you to find as well. So, although I have literally 5 flesh and blood sisters, I have probably 7-10 real sisters. These are 6 of the sisters I spent the weekend with. It was great. We had a great time, I'm just sad you all missed the dance, but it was good, would've been better with all of you here... But I am grateful for the time I do get to spend with everyone. Aren't they all just beautiful?

These pictures do not do justice to the fun and friendships that were built and testimonies that were strengthened. It was a great time for them all. They loved it and Princess is anxiously awaiting with NO trepidation or reservation to when she can serve a full-time mission. Sir Talks A Lot might be able to go next year. He is excited too.

Makes 10!

My kids are going crazy since I haven't told the rest of the world yet... We are expecting again. We are really excited. Wow, 10 kids. I can't wait. We have the added bonus of even at this early stage our newest seems to be very kind to Mom. Girls usually make me vomit all the time and boys usually make me vomit half the time and blow up like the girl in Willie Wonka that has to be juiced. This time however, I haven't vomited or felt even a desire to vomit. This is kinda cool. I have been swelling up already and really, really tired. I did an ob panel on Friday and expect results on Tuesday. The Dr. I chose this time is really wonderful. She says that I can do a v-bac which makes me really happy, she was there when Puppie was born and she didn't think that I needed a c-section in the first place and she said from what she had seen, and she was right there, that she didn't see anything that warranted extreme measures and thought the last Dr. was just newer and more worried. So I am excited. I want to have this baby normally. We will see though. We have now told the scariest people, so now we will tell everyone else. So, consider yourself told and know that we are really happy and our kids are ecstatic. They all have name options and willing to move beds around and talking about who is going to seat next to the baby in the van and how exciting it all is. I am just grateful to not but a puker this time around. Yippee!

Thought for the day...

In the private sanctuary of one's own conscience lies that spirit, that determination to cast off the old person and to measure up to the stature of true potential. Thomas S. Monson

To add to this, it is my desire to not only stand up to my true potential, but to not allow others to bring me down or short change my feelings of self-worth. If I know I am accepted of my Father In Heaven and I know that my works and intentions are good, I will not allow others to dissuade me of it. I know my own heart and I know my Heavenly Father knows my heart and I will go forward with faith and accomplish what I have set out for myself, which is to have a family that is loving and not perfect, but growing and always evolving.

I am grateful to have the family that I have and I am grateful that when life hands us lemons for our own personal growth and when I get on my knees, I can see my Heavenly Father's plan more clearly and know that none of it is in vain. I know I can learn everything I can from every situation and when life drives me to my knees I can be ever more grateful that my relationship with my Father In Heaven is strengthened and that even if the rest of the world doesn't understand me, He does and I can pour out my troubles and misunderstandings and be blessed.
I know that when we are judged harshly and put down, Christ lifts us up. He truly is our Rock and our Redeemer and if others can't see us grow, change and evolve then it is to their own detriment.

I have been reading this book to try to understand people better and even though at times it is really painful to read others experiences, it is heartening to see them become victorious in overcoming obstacles and know that victory is firmly in my grasp as well.

Things are really busy now and even though I have TONS of things to blog, I probably won't have much time for it, but I am really excited for the changes in my life that are coming and for the blessings that are extended towards me. Maybe I will have my kids blog for me. ; ) I can't wait until we are home together again and under one roof. We miss everybody together.
