Liquid Hand Soap

I use the Kirk's Castile Soap most frequently. Sometimes beauty bars. I use a gallon of water, because after it sets for a long time it thickens. Can clog the pumps. Makes hands pretty soft. Takes a while to gel. I let it cool and put in a refill gallon bottle from liquid soap. Since last summer we have made it 3 times. Costs $1.19 a gallon to make or the price per bar with a splash of glycerin.

2 cups soap flakes or grated bar soap.
1/2 gallon to 1 gallon of water (Depends on your desired consistency)
2 Tbsp. Glycerin
Mix all ingredients in a large pot or dutch oven. Set over low heat, stir occasionally until soap is dissolved. Transfer to jar and cover tightly. Less thick soap, use the gallon.
