Vegetable Beef Stew or Jack and the Beanstalk Soup if your kids are scared of vegetables!

We usually 4-5 times this for our family, but we also have a small army....
This is a great size for a hungry group of 4. We like to have leftovers too.
Then I don't have to cook on Sunday. You can also freeze.

Actual Recipe
2 Tbsp Flour
1 lb. Beef Stew Meat or a meat you slice up yourself. Whichever is cheaper that week.
2 Tbsp. Cooking Oil

1 lg can of V8 juice, or generic off brand
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tsp. beef boullion
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. dried basil
2 1/4 cups peeled and cubed potatoes
2 cups sliced carrots
small bag of frozen vegetables or green beans

Shake four and meat in a ziploc or an empty yogurt cup. Brown meat in the hot oil.
Prepare vegetables. Layer in crackpot on high. Add juice and stir in seasonings. Play with it.
This is just a basic starter. After a couple hours, move to low until vegetables are done. Great to be gone all day and minimal cleanup. Rivals Iowa Corn Chowder as the kids favorite. They all love them. Going to post some more soup recipes as the weather gets cooler. Happy stewing!
